X-Ray searches public profiles on the web — LinkedIn, GitHub, StackOverflow — not your database. It is a sourcing tool, not a way to browse candidates you already have.
How to search
You enter criteria and pick a country and portal. The results are a list of profiles you can open and assess.
You open X-Ray on the candidate list with the "X RAY" switch next to "CANDIDATES".
Limits worth knowing
At most 100 results per query. On a broad query you will not see everything — narrow the criteria rather than scrolling.
Eight countries — Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Czechia, Slovakia, Romania, Austria and the United Kingdom.
Search tricks
Because X-Ray uses a search engine underneath, query operators work in it. A popular example is finding people flagged as "open to work" — it is worth agreeing a set of proven phrases within the team.
What happens to a profile
You add a candidate you have found to the database manually. That is a good moment to set the right source immediately, otherwise they vanish into the manually-added category in your statistics.
