Roles and permissions

Admin, consultant, external user — what each of them can do.

Written by Maciej Michalewski

There are three roles in the system. The role decides what a user sees at all; access to specific recruitments is a separate matter.

Settings — users

Settings — users

You assign the role in Settings, under "Users", in the "Add user" or "Edit user" window.

Admin

Full access: every project without being added to it, every candidate, the whole of Settings, user management, GDPR and integrations. An admin also bypasses access tag restrictions.

Recruiter

The recruiter's working role. Runs the recruitments they have been added to, works with the candidate database, connects their own mailbox.

Does not manage users, and cannot change GDPR settings or the content of automatic messages.

External user

Usually a hiring manager on the client side. Sees only the candidates shared with them, can rate them and add a public note. No candidate database, no reports, no settings. Details in a separate article.

What a role does not do

Granting the recruiter role gives access to no recruitment at all. The user still has to be added to a project as a participant — these are two separate acts.

You add a participant in project settings, on the "Shared" tab, with the "Add participant" button.

Superiors

A user can be given a superior. The superior sees their subordinates' recruitments without being added to each one, which saves a lot of work in larger teams.
