Element connects to many systems, but you only set up some of them yourself. This split answers most "where do I switch this on" questions.
What you set up yourself
Email synchronization — your Gmail or Office365 account.
Calendar synchronization — for scheduling meetings.
Task synchronization — if you use tasks.
API integrations — credentials for your own systems.
All four live in Settings and each works per account — a colleague has to connect their own mailbox themselves.
What we configure
Job boards, the SMS gateway, CV parsing, competency tests, company registries and the company-level connection to Google or Microsoft all need your organisation's credentials and are set up by the Element team.
If something is missing or publishing ends in an error, you usually will not find it in the interface. Contact support.
What Element does not have
Worth knowing up front so you do not go looking: there is no SSO or SAML login, no e-signature, no Slack or Zapier integration, and no artificial-intelligence features of any kind.
The public API
Element offers a beta API — it lets you pull offers and pass candidates in from your own systems. You generate credentials in Settings, under API integrations.
Click "Create access" and enter the system identifier. After creation you get a login and password, which you need to save.
