Who can send SMS

In Element, each user has the option of sending SMS messages to candidates.

Where is the button for sending SMS?

The message can be sent using the button visible in various places in the system:

  • After hovering the mouse over or selecting a candidate in the candidate database:

  • In the project:

  • In the candidate's profile:

Creating and sending SMS

If you use an email sync feature in Element, then click "message" button will open following window:

As you can see there is an option to send both email and SMS, but this is only possible if you have your email account synced with Element.

Please notice there is a limit of 1530 characters and 10 SMS for one message. Imporant: if you put at least one diacritical mark (i.e. ą, ę) in the message, then the maximum number of characters drops to 670. Adding more diacritical marks does not lowers this limit anymore.

In case sending a message both via email and SMS, the character limit only apply to SMS messages.

Sent SMS history

If you send an SMS by clicking the message sending button on the candidate (e.g. in the project or in the candidate's profile), the content of the SMS will appear in the history of the candidate's actions:

The message will be saved in the candidate's actions even if it is sent to a different phone number than the one provided in the candidate's profile, as shown in the example above.

Send messages to multiple candidates at the same time

In the main database of candidates, you can select several candidates at the same time and send an SMS message to the selected people. The message will be sent to all selected candidates who have a phone number in their candidate profile. The sent message will be saved in the timeline of all candidates to whom the message was sent.

Replying to SMS

It is not possible to reply to SMS at this time. If you want to let candidate reply to your message, please put your phone number or email address in the SMS.

The sender of the message

At the moment, the sender of the message is "Rekrutacja". In the coming days we will make it possible to provide a different name of the sender of the message. Please note, that the SMS API system that we use as an SMS gateway has the following restrictions as to the sender's name:

The sender field can be used when sending Pro messages. The sender field can be a name of up to 11 characters.

Acceptable characters: a-z A-Z 0-9. & @ - + _! % [space] (phone number not allowed).

ATTENTION! The system does not accept sender fields with more than 3 consecutive digits (e.g. incorrect names are: TEST1234, 2012biletow). The field must contain at least one letter.

The default sender field will be displayed first in the SMS gateway and will be used when the from parameter is missing in the API reference.

If you want to choose your own sender name, make sure it meets the above requirements, then download this form and send us a signed scan of the document. This is necessary in order to enter the new name of the SMS sender.

Cost of SMS service

Element sends SMS messages using an external SMS gateway service provider. This is a paid service.

Currently, we do not charge for messages sent to individual candidates, however, in the case of sending one message to many candidates, we reserve the right to charge a fee of PLN 0.16 net for each message sent (according to the SMS gate operator's price list).
